一、discuss /dɪˈskʌs/
to talk about something with another person or a group in order to exchange ideas or decide something 商讨，谈论，讨论
例句：
1. If you would like to discuss the matter further, please call me.
如果你想进一步讨论此事，请打电话给我。
2.We briefly discussed buying a second car.
我们草草商量过再买一辆汽车的事。
当想表达和某人商量某事的时候，可以用discuss sth with sb。
例句：
Have you discussed the problem with anyone?
你与谁商量过这个问题吗？
二、talk /tɔːk/
talk about
谈论，议论，谈到，讨论
例句：
1. It’s good to be able to talk about these things.
能够谈谈这些事真好。
2. The lesson of that was that we have to talk about it.
我们吸取的教训是，我们必须开诚布公的谈论这个问题。
同样，和某人讨论要用with sb。
例句：

同她的经纪人商量之后，她决定按她的要求接受那个角色。
2. I convince Tom to consult with us.
我说服汤姆与我们商量一下。
与某人商议(某事)就是consult (with) sb (about/on sth)。

四、confer /kənˈfɜː/
When you confer with someone, you discuss something with them in order to make a decision. You can also say that two people confer. 商议
例句：
1. I must confer with my lawyer before I decide.
我必须先同我的律师商量一下才能做出决定。
2. I will confer with him on the subject.
我将和他商议这件事。
同样，和某人商议某事可以说confer with sb on/about sth。
例句：
He conferred with his wife on purchasing the villa.
他和他妻子商议买别墅一事。
