New Day is sung by Take That, from their music album Wonderland in 2017. Take That is an English male pop band formed in 1990, and they governed English music chart in the first five years in 1990s. After their debut, Take That made great achievement, like 130 million albums’ sales(group plus single member), 21 Brit Awards, 8 MTV Awards, 21Champion albums and 22 Champion songs and so on. As the consequence, Take That is recognized as the most successful male pop band in English history, and one of the top ten popular pop groups since 1960s, they are also praised by English Broadcast Corporation as the most popular English band after Beatles.

《New Day》是Take That演唱的一首歌曲，收录在2017年发布的专辑《Wonderland》中。Take That——接招合唱团，是1990年创立的英格兰男子流行演唱组合，他们在90年代的头5年几乎统治了英国音乐排行榜。出道以来，他们获得了巨大的成功，从1.3亿张唱片销量（组合+单飞成员）、21座全英音乐奖、8座MTV音乐奖、21张冠军专辑和22首冠军单曲等等就可以看出来。因此，Take That被称为英国历史上最成功的男子流行演唱组合、英国60年代以来最红的10支流行音乐乐队之一，连英国广播公司也称誉其为“披头士之后最受欢迎的英国乐队”。

Take That was formed by Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Mark Owen and Robbie Williams, and Gary was the lead singer and main songwriter in old times. At first, they were similar to other pop music bands, and then they transformed to make dance music, which gave them great help to succeed. Take That became the English focus via their It Only Takes A Minute, as a result, their music career got into a new stage. Hence the change of English favor to pop music caused their disbandment directly.

Take That成员最初包括盖瑞·巴洛、霍华德·唐纳德、杰森·奥兰奇、马克·欧文和罗比·威廉姆斯。其中盖瑞·巴洛是乐队主唱和主要作词作曲人。起初，Take That的音乐风格和其他流行乐队相似，后来转型着力于舞蹈风格的音乐。成也萧何，败萧何。舞蹈音乐在发展之处对他们所取得的音乐成就有着不可泯灭的功绩，1992年夏天Take That凭借《It Only Takes A Minute》成为英国万众瞩目的焦点，从此他们的事业达到了一个新的台阶。但是后来英国人对流行音乐口味的转变也直接导致了他们的解散。

Even after their disbandment in 1996, beautiful songs of Take That were played circularly on famous music radios. Moved by their loyal fans’ support , they started the band again after 10 years, and now continue singing as a 3-person group. Nowadays, they are not so young as before, but the image of mature uncle has little harm on continuing adolescent splendid achievement. For instance, their album Progress published in 2010, made the 21st century highest record of the first week’s sales. Besides, their Progress Tour in 2011 was so successful that it became the maximum scale tour in English history. Recent years, they keep productive and launch albums almost every year.

1996解体后，Take That的经典歌曲在各大流行电台反复播放。面对众多忠诚粉的支持，10年后他们又重新出道，如今以三个人的形式继续演唱。复出后的他们不复当年青涩，成熟大叔的形象丝毫没有影响他们继续年少时的辉煌：2010年发行的专辑Progress以一周51万的销量创造了成为21世纪首周销量最高记录；2011年 的Progress Tour 巡演也大获成功，成为英国史上最大规模的巡演。近些年他们保持高产，几乎每年出版新的专辑。

The rhythm of New Day is smooth, and it is well natural to start and take over. At the instance prelude starts, the lead singer’s beautiful voice gives this song a strong sense of picture. A single photo matches a single lyric, with the end of the music, a bitter but warm story has ended meanwhile. Besides, there are many repeated sentences, which not only stress the lyrics, but express the songwriter’s positive attitude, and we could feel that he is not willing to fall behind as well. So many famous people or bands have been decadent and even their works are polluted. However, Take That is not the same, and their songs are always presented with sincerity, no matter what they want to express. Frankly speaking, they are good at clearing one’s soul by their apparent songs.
