本周的主题是「和平之音」。Bette Midler （贝蒂·米德勒）在纪念 911 的演唱会中演唱了 The Wind Beneath My Wings（《羽翼下的风》），以缅怀在那场灾难中不幸身亡的人，尤其是那些为了救人不顾自身安危的消防人员。

被问到为什么会在那个场合挑选这首歌，麦卡特尼的回答是，他了解 911 事件前前后后的历史恩怨。

他知道这里面有英雄，也有所谓的恐怖分子，而这些恐怖分子的形成源于帝国主义对阿拉伯世界的侵略，对他们的残杀。他们的故乡被剥夺，他们的家人、故国的人民被帝国主义无情地残杀，然后他们选择去杀害另外一群无辜的人。

麦卡特尼希望这桩悲剧连同历史恩怨都可以一并过去，然而，历史的清算总是不遂人愿，没完没了。

 Let It Be 被视为披头士最伟大的歌曲之一，歌曲的结构和歌词很简单，却气势宏伟，充满强大的伤感。

911 发生后的那段时间，也是许多美国人最需要音乐舒缓情绪、安抚伤痛的时候。至少通过音乐的力量让这个国家暂时抛开分歧，重新建立起自己的民族精神。

在当天的纪念演唱会上，保罗压轴出场，一共演唱了 6 首歌，包括当时新创作的 Freedom（《自由》），他说「这是人们通常不知道要值得去争取的一件东西。」这个自由亦是心灵的释怀和放下。
