Facts About The Album Reputation
Taylor Swift,
the youngest Grammy winner and the most talented woman singer, kicked off her Reputation tour recently. Having successfully transformed from country music singer to pop music singer, this album is totally different from that of her first pop music one 1989. Next, let’s have a look on some surprising facts about the album Reputation and its tour.
1. Taylor executive-produced it.
This time, Taylor is credited as an executive producer on Reputation. She cooperated with other artists in her album 1989, but now, she’s the only artist involved with that title. She controlled the narrative and made all the album’s executive decisions. She previously shared credit with this album’s other frequent producer and songwriter, Max Martin, on 1989, but that was the old Taylor. The new Taylor doesn’t put anyone else’s name at the top of her work.
2. Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’s daughter is credited.
The rumors were correct: That is indeed Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’s 2-year-old daughter James cooing her adorable pronunciation of the word “gorgeous” right at the start of the song“Gorgeous.”which is her first job! According to fans at the listening session, Taylor said she played “Gorgeous” on guitar for Blake and Ryan at the beach when little James kept repeating the title, so she asked to get James to record it
3. The album features her first real expletive.
She’s dropped an “ass” here, and a “damn” there, but a full four-letter curse seemed out of the question. And then she called herself a “bitch” in her “Look What You Made Me Do” video, and it was game on. Over these years, her reputation brought her more harm than good------being gossiped of her affairs with males, questioned about her ability to get the awards, etc. So this album is kind of self-mockery and it is a symbol she uses to fight against those disagreeable people, and like she sings in the song”the old Taylor’s dead”
4. She broke the record
Taylor was already breaking records on the first night of the Reputation Tour. She performed a sold out show at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, beating the stadium's attendance record previously held by One Direction. In fact, according to Poll star, she sold out at least the first three shows of the tour and has grossed on average $7 million per night.
5. An unprecedented stage
She may be playing fewer shows than on her previous tours, but since she's playing stadiums instead of arenas, Taylor is performing to significantly more fans. The production for the Reputation Tour is so huge that it takes 80 trucks to carry the equipment from venue to venue. The main stage is 110 feet tall – the biggest Taylor has ever performed on
6. Her love and passion go beyond the music
Taylor has also used the huge success of her tour to do some good deeds: For her final dress rehearsal, she invited more than 2,000 adopted and foster children and their families to watch the show for free. She also bought them all pizza and candy and held meet and greets with all the kids after the show.
7. A surprising point at her boyfriend
Joe Alwyn showed up to support Taylor Swift on the opening night of her tour May 8, and she seemed to know exactly where he was in the crowd when she was singing about him. Watch here!
8. Taylor Swift’s friends are more famous than yours
The guests in Reputation tour is even more excited than that of the 1989!
(1)Robbie Williams
Robbie Williams? At a Taylor Swift gig? Who would have thought. It's no secret that Robbie Williams is a household name in the UK but his success never ever transferred properly to the US. The fact that Taylor knows and loves his music is amazing though. The two performed 'Angels' together at Taylor's second Reputation show in London and Robbie even wore a Taylor Swift t-shirt.
(2) Selena Gomez
Selena and Taylor have been BFFs for years so it's no surprise that the 'Bad Liar' singer has taken part in multiple Taylor Swift tours. On the Speak Now World Tour they performed 'Who Says', on the 1989 World Tour they performed 'Good for You' and now they've joined forces to sing 'Hands to Myself' in Pasedena. Not only that but Taylor also shared an adorable Instagram post about their friendship mere hours later. No. We're not crying. You are.
(3)Troye sivan
Troye and Taylor have always stood for each other from afar on Twitter so it's a joy to see them finally collaborate on stage in Pasedena. Not only did they wow the crowd with an impeccable rendition of 'My My My!' complete with superstar strutting but they also revealed the release date of Troye's highly anticipated sophomore album Bloom. The LP is dropping August 31st and features a duet with Ariana Grande called 'Dance to This'. We cannot wait.
The official account has released Japan as the first Reputation Asian tour, so will China be far behind? We'll see in the future!
