LeBron James: "Ever since I was a kid I learned every position on the floor. For some odd reason, I could learn every position on the floor all at one time. PG, SG, SF, PF and C and know all the plays what they're doing and what's the reads. I know every single play at every single position."

Lol for all I know he could be an above average coach, but his constant look of confusion always makes me think of him as the most clueless guy ever

Haha, I know. I kind of feel bad for him since he probably gets a lot of undeserved shit just because he looks so lost all the time.

When Lebron was a kid I imagine the plays were something like:

PG: get the ball to Lebron

SG: get the ball to Lebron

SF: get the ball to Lebron

PF: get the ball to Lebron

C: get the ball to Lebron

[–][CLE] Kevin Lovequentin-coldwater 925

To be fair, you have to have a very high BBIQ to understand Pick and Rolls. The spacing is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of ball movement most of the plays will go over a typical player's head. There’s also the roll man's screen-setting, which is deftly woven into his position - his assignment in the scheme draws heavily from the Donnieball Mavs, for instance.

The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these plays, to realise that they’re not just good- they say something deep about BASKETBALL. As a consequence people who dislike the Pick & Roll truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the aggressiveness in the Pick & Roll's existential catchphrase “Seven Seconds or Less,” which itself is a cryptic reference to the Phoenician epic Amare, Nash, and Suns. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Mike D'Antoni's genius playcalling unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them.

And yes, by the way, i DO have a Steve Nash tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It’s for the ladies’ eyes only.

He has an advantage over everyone else though. His memory is incredible. Don't know what it's called exactly(not photographic memory), but he remembers almost every thing he sees. He can remember obscure plays from 5 years ago during a random reg season game: he's demonstrated that.

You really could convince me that LeBron James was designed in a lab by the basketball gods.

Reminder that LeBron broke the Raptors' Simulator

In decades of following the NBA, that's my single favorite anecdote. LeBron's basketball IQ is so unfathomably high, that he was able to anticipate faster than a computer simulation of the perfect NBA player.

Honestly, part of me hates LeBron, and hates all of us, for not having LeBron father at least 20,000 children by now. You want America to get its 'competitive advantage' back? Get the man who's basically a hybrid of Einstein and Wilt Chamberlain to pull a Ghenghis Khan for the betterment of humanity.
