"Perfect" is a song by English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran from his third studio album,÷ (2017). After the album's release it charted at number four on the UK SinglesChart. On 21 August 2017, Billboard announced that "Perfect" would bethe fourth single from the album. The song was serviced to pop radio on 26September 2017, as the third single from the album in the United States (fourthoverall). The song eventually reached number one on the UK Singles Chart andthe Billboard Hot 100 in December 2017. It also peaked at number one in sixteenother countries, including Australia, Ireland and New Zealand. A version of"Perfect", titled "Perfect Duet", with American singerBeyoncé was released on 1 December 2017. Another duet with Italian tenor AndreaBocelli, titled "Perfect Symphony", was released on 15 December 2017."Perfect" also became the UK Christmas number-one song for 2017.

Edward Christopher Sheeran, MBE (born 17 February 1991) is an Englishsinger, songwriter, guitarist, and record producer. Sheeran was born in Halifax, West Yorkshire, and raised in Framlingham,Suffolk. He attended the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford as an undergraduate from the age of 18in 2009. In early 2011, Sheeran independently released the extended play, No. 5 Collaborations Project. Aftersigning with AsylumRecords, his debut album, + (readas "plus"), was released in September 2011. It topped the UK andAustralian charts, reached number five in the US, and has since been certifiedseven-times platinum in the UK. The album contains the single "The A Team", which earned him the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically.In 2012, Sheeran won the Brit Awards for Best British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act."The A Team" was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2013 Grammy Awards, where he performed thesong with Elton John.

His secondstudio album, x (readas "multiply"), was released in June 2014. It peaked at number one inthe UK and the US. In 2015, x won the Brit Award for Album of the Year, and he received the IvorNovello Award for Songwriter of the Year from the BritishAcademy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors. His single from x, "Thinking OutLoud", earned him two Grammy Awards at the 2016 ceremony: Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.In May 2016, x was named the second best sellingalbum worldwide in 2015.

Sheeran's thirdalbum, ÷ (read as "divide"), wasreleased in March 2017. The album debuted at number one in the UK, the US andother major markets. The first two singles from the album, "Shape of You"and "Castle on the Hill",were released in January 2017 and broke records in a number of countries,including the UK, Australia and Germany, by debuting in the top two positionsof the charts. He also became the first artist to have two songs debut in theUS top 10 in the same week.

 By March 2017 Sheeran had accumulated ten top 10singles from ÷ on the UK Singles Chart, breakingScottish DJ Calvin Harris'srecord of most top 10 UK singles from one album. His fourth single from ÷, "Perfect", reached number one in theUK and Australia, while "Perfect Duet", an acoustic version featuring Beyoncé,reached number one in the US. Sheeran appeared on Debrett's 2017 list of the most influentialpeople in the UK.^[4]

As an actor,Sheeran has portrayed recurring roles on The Bastard Executioner and Home and Away.He also appeared as a Lannister soldier on Game ofThrones.
