1. 2017年听了很多来自World Galaxy Records的爵士音乐：Ryan Porter的《Spangle-Lang Lane》，改编了经典的英文儿歌；还有曾经出现在Kendrick Lamar《To Pimp A Butterfly》中的小号手Josef Leimberg的个人专辑《Astral Progression》。

I've been listening to quite a few records from this new Jazz imprint called World Galaxy Records. I loved Ryan Porter's Spangle-Lang Lane, which revamps some of world's most known children's songs. Also Astral Progression from the trumpeter Josef Leimberg, who appeared on Kendrick's Grammy winning To Pimp A Butterfly.

2. Kamasi Washington在北京Blue Note的演出，每一位乐手都很有个人特色，包括刚才提到的长号手Ryan Porter，还有Kamasi的老爸。当然也得说这次VICE/异视异色年末派对我带来了洛杉矶Low End Theory的团队以及Brainfeeders旗下的艺术家Teebs，那天在Arkham看到很多年轻人和我一样被他们的音乐所感染、相互连接。

Kamasi Washington's show at Blue Note Beijing was awesome. I loved his The Epic, and finally saw him live. And for sure i have to mention the VICE/YSYS party last month, where i brought LA's renowned Low End Theory crew here, as well as Brainfeeders' young artist Teebs. I saw many young people inspired and connected by their music, which truly touches my heart.

3.我觉得一方面是直指现实、真实的情绪与思考，一方面是神秘的、深入灵魂的探索。

1. 在2017年喜欢的音乐是三位冰岛音乐人的合作，Sin Fang, Soley and Orvar Smarason。他们每个月发一首歌，最终的专辑叫做《Team Dreams》，很不错。

My favourite record of 2017 is a collaboration between 3 great Icelandic musicians: Sin Fang, Soley and Orvar Smarason from Múm. They released a song every month and it ended up on a record called Team Dreams. It's so beautiful. 

2.最喜欢的演出是The Notwist在北京愚公移山的演出，这样一支传奇的乐队，我听他们的歌有超过10年，确是第一次看他们现场。

My favourite show of the year was The Notwist in Yugong Yishan Beijing. Such incredible musicians and legendary band. I've been listening to their music for more than 10 years and it was the first time for me to seem them live. 

3.我还蛮看好DIY的音乐现象的，越来越多小型音乐节出现，越来越多的乐队也在出现，特别期待Hiperson的唱片，他们的现场很强，我想专辑也绝对不会差。

I feel that the DIY scene is becoming to alive again, there are more and more smaller festivals popping up that put the focus back on the music and more and more bands are trying things by themselves again. In particular looking forward to hear the upcoming Hiperson record, because their live shows became very strong, if they could reflect this on record as well it will be an absolute killer album. 

1.Naomi Punk今年让我印象深刻，我今年听的很多，新专辑也许不对我的胃口，但是以前的专辑越听越喜欢。我最近还很喜欢David Boring

Naomi Punk have somehow missed my radar before and I've really gotten into them this year. Their new album is a challenging listen but their older stuff really does it for me. I've also really been digging David Boring recently.

2.这个问题蛮难的，我看了很多很好的演出。Milu的演出应该是我看的次数最多的，在武汉，我为Lonely Leary 做过一个演出，他们绝对是我最喜欢的一支乐队了。Wax Chattels 在武汉Vox的演出特别令人惊喜。最后要说的是David Thomas Broughton的巡演，特别是我投入了很多心血和工作在做。

This is a difficult one as I saw many good shows this year. I probably saw Milu play more times than any other band this year and the show he played supporting AV Okubo he really nailed it, as did AV. A show I promoted for Lonely Leary at Wuhan Prison was mind melting, they're one of my favourite live bands and really nice guys. Wax Chattels at Vox was also a nice surprise. Finally, every show of the David Thomas Broughton tour was special for me after a lot of hardwork and organisation went into it. 

3.我很期待听到 Lonely Leary的处子专辑，想看看他们在录音室里能不能展现同样在现场的那种能量。Hookworms and Cavern的专辑也是十分期待了。

Again I'm excited to hear Lonely Leary's debut album, I'm intrigued to see if it captures the same energy as their live show. There are also new albums from Hookworms and Cavern of Anti-Matter coming up which I'm looking forward to listening.

今年我听歌非常看重人声，这张专辑充满了意料之外的不规则人声编排，同时instrumental也是完美的。Machine Girl今年也有一张类似的专辑，不过已经有很多人推荐了，在这就不重复说了。

Sunship - Love On The Rox (Sunship 2 step) Ft. Charlotte Kelly
没错，这就是一首流行歌。最好的2-step制作人之一Sunship在时隔首专20年后仍然在坚持做最纯粹的2-step garage。我只想说2-step永远不死！

2.今年最好的演出当然是Air Max '97和Tzusing成都站，lol。除此之外，如果要说我看的演出，我认为最好的有2个。

第1个是ssaliva在成都Nu Space的演出，那天他在做Audio/Video set的时候大家都坐在舞池地板上安静的听歌，看屏幕，但可以看出来所有人都很享受，不管是音乐还是视觉都很梦幻，感觉不像是在室内而是在一个世外桃源。

第2个是在Quantamade的开业派对，那天主理人Lucien请来了Tavi Lee，Noctilucents，Charity和RVE这4位俱乐部音乐先锋，而铁笼式的booth和其它现场布置也很棒。同时那天见了很多新朋友和老朋友，算是我自己第一次开始融入本地的场景。

3.过去一年接触的新东西实在是太多，而且涉及很广泛，都有点审美疲劳了哈哈。所以希望接下来的一年的音乐人可以在风格上有比17年更激进的融合和突破，更期待的是能有一些完全没有预料到的音乐类型出现。

3.等不及听到南方酸性咪咪的首张专辑。

1. 今年还发信蛮多音乐的，阿克江，YoungQueenz, Fishdoll, Chacha还有ODE这都是亚洲地区最喜欢的艺人了。另外，Daniel Caesar, Yaeji, Yonkwi，Alex Wang，PNL , Symbiz，Stefflon Don。真的太多数不完了。

Lots of discoveries this year, especially with my move to China. I think 阿克江, YoungQueenz, Fishdoll, Chacha and this young cat from Guiyang named ODE are some of my favorite Asia discoveries. Aside from that, lots of great new stuff in 2017 from all over the world- Daniel Caesar, Yaeji, NYC-via-Cameroon's Yonkwi, Brooklyn-via-China's Do Hits affiliate Alex Wang, PNL from France, Symbiz in Berlin, Stefflon Don from the UK...I could go on forever. 

2.我和Bohan在亚洲巡演，见证他的演出的变化是最神奇的事情。除此之外Howie Lee在混凝草音乐节的Live Set简直绝了。不论视觉还是鼓的节奏都太棒了。去年年初在红牛学院 Solange在古根海姆博物馆的表演，Gucci Mane 和 Zaytoven的一个小型演出都让我印象深刻。

I traveled all over Asia with Bohan Phoenix and seeing his shows evolve over the months we toured was nothing short of magical. Aside from that, Howie Lee's live set at Concrete & Grass honestly blew my mind. Visuals and the addition of a drummer was next level! Earlier in the year, I helped produce two unforgettable shows with Red Bull Music Academy in NYC: Solange performing at The Guggenheim Museum and an acoustic piano performance in a small 100-cap room by Gucci Mane and Zaytoven on the keys. 2017 will be hard to top!

3.真的为Bohan Phoenix感到兴奋，他已经走向世界。期待他的新作。我还希望看到中国Hip-Hop音乐的变化，希望在中国有嘻哈之后，在这里嘻哈文化能够更流行，能发展出自己独有的特色。

I'm really stoked for Bohan Phoenix's next project OVERSEAS. The lead single and title track was produced by Ryan Hemsworth and was just released (Wooozy did a WeChat post) and has an insane music video on the way. I'm very excited to see how the sound of hip hop in China evolves, given its unique circumstances with government censorship and last year's 中国有嘻哈 explosion. My hopes are that the sound will diversify, look beyond the popular trap confines of the West, innovate and start to come into its own.

1. This year has been a really great one for new music, especially in Asia. Thanks to groups like 88Rising it seems like people are finally starting to realise how cool music from this part of the world can be. One of the artists at the fore front of this is Yaeji, who I discovered shortly after she released her EP1. I feel like we share quite a lot in common with her as her songs are also very bilingual, slipping between English and Korean with ease. Her latest release, EP2, is simply amazing, and it seems like she's found a sound that's entirely her own. She also seems to have blown up hugely online, which can only be a good thing going forward for her contemporaries.

2. This is a hard one! I saw Coldplay back in March or April of 2017, in Seoul. In terms of 4 people, playing live instruments onstage, I think it's harder to put on a showmore perfect than their's was. On a much more intimate scale, I also saw quitea bit of Beijing band Future Orients this year. They're one of my favourie acts at the moment. I remember seeing them at a super packed School Bar gig just after I found out about them, and it was crazy. Super packed, beer soaked, the singer diving off the dividing wall  between the stage and bar into the crowd, it proved once again to me that Beijing's music scene is unparalleled.

3. 2018 seems to bethe year that Western bands have really started to take note of China as a tour destination. I saw Foster the People a couple of weeks ago and I'm heading tothe XX this weekend and Oh Wonder in March, which is super exciting. My band, Nocturnes曳取, just released our debut album and we also have our first tour this year. We're hitting 11 cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hong Kong. It's my first time doing anything as big as this, I can't wait!

1. Some of the best music I discovered this year would be 3asic, DJ Taye, Kakushin Nishihara and Faded Ghost.

2. I'd say the best shows I saw would have been SNSOS at Omni Space (Beijing) and Colleen at The Swedish American Hall (San Francisco).

3. I'm looking forward to releasing some new material on RAN Music after Spring Festival, two new compilations on Seippelabel and three different artist's EPs on Jingweir. I'm curious about this year's Concrete and Grass too. =)

1.我去年发现的最棒的音乐应该是一支90年代的日本乐队，叫做BOaT。第一次听到他们是在一个我的一些台湾朋友办的网上电台Room Radio。基本上是有点funky的流行乐，但是又有突然插入的庞克和金属段落，又有趣又可爱！一听就喜欢上了。

It's a 90s Japanese band called BOaT, I am impressed when I listen to them first time in a online radio program ran by my Taiwanese friend. They are kind of a funky pop band but combined with weird punky/metal elements, very funny and cute. I love them at once!

2.最棒的演出应该是在首尔最棒的地方GBN Livehouse看Pseudo / Seoul Dolmangchi /Struggle Session三个乐队的表演。这是Struggle Session和DCD的韩国小巡回第二场演出，也是我第一次出国，第一次在一个专门给hardcore-punk和极端金属演出的场地看演出还有表演。那天真的非常开心，Seoul Dolmangchi的演出让我好感动，没想到2018年刚开始他们就要解散了。我想我应该忘不了这场演出。

The best show I saw was Pseudo/Seoul Dolmangchi/Struggle Session in Seoul's best spot GBN livehouse!! It's the second show of the Struggle Session/ Die!ChiwawaDie!'s Korean tour, also firsttime I am abroad, first time to watch/perform a show in a hardcore-punk/extreme-metal venue. I was so happy that day. And Seoul Dolmangchi moved me so much, can't believe they disbanded in early 2018. I can never forget about this show. 

3.我很期待广州本地的新音乐，还有就是更奇怪更有趣的东西，不要只有chill来chill去的Mac Demarco copy band，也不要那么多trap吧，哈哈哈。

1.应该是在 loopy 偶尔看到电视里播放的 Nils Frahm 2014年 Boiler Room x Dimensions Opening Concert 上的现场演出。

当时就被他的钢琴琴声所吸引，仔细看了还发现有许多合成器的使用。于是立即做了一波研究。发现几乎我对音乐的所有喜爱都体现在了他身上。

古典、新古典、合成器、电子、极简、实验，都穿插其中，会让我想到alva noto, recnodite, Kiasmos, tale of us，等等。然后又发现曾在我最喜欢的艺术中心之一 Barbican Center 演过。

这个感觉就是，当你发现你喜欢的不同领域的事物都联系起来的时候，很开心的。

前不久他又发行了新的 LP《All Melody》可以去听一下。

2.因为工作关系，去年几乎没有离开过杭州看演出，要说 loopy 的话，应该就是9月16号一周年纪念的时候。

lineup 如同一个小型的音乐节。晚上8点到早上8点，人流来来去去没有间断。

而重要的并不是艺人有多知名，音乐有多棒，而是那次活动几乎得到了杭州所有音乐人、派对组织和众多朋友的支持。让我觉得大家都很珍惜这里。

对的人在对的地方，总是过得十分愉快，一大早大家还包了一辆大巴直接去了混凝草，是一次非常特别的体验。

3.并没有特别的期待，作为一个场地的负责人和主要 booker，我会尽可能的打开眼界和思路去接受新的事物。

音乐也一样，90后，00后中越来越多的人投身于音乐相关行业中。希望带给他们更多更好的机会来接触这个世界。

努力保持和摆正 loopy 的位置，新鲜的音乐都是我所希望听到的。

1.2017有很多很棒的音乐，尤其是电子音乐，之前能筛选出这25张专辑'2017 TOP25@OIL'已经很不容易了

但有一张专辑不在其中却是我2017最大惊喜 — 一个之前从未接触过的制作人City的A Goal is an Image！每个人都应该完整的听一遍！

1. 在这个国家里，不同曲风的许多音乐正在发声。西南地区的Hip-Hop，东南地区的City Pop。我对上海地区许多电子音乐印象深刻，包括Hyph11e, 33EMYBW和 Cha Cha的 Faded Ghost.香港乐队David Boring发行的专辑也让我印象深刻。

More than ever before there is great stuff happening across the country and from a diverse range of genres. Everything from the hip-hop scene in the southwest to China's new "city pop" scene in the southeast. I've been especially impressed with a lot of the new electronic music coming out of Shanghai, including releases from Hyph11e, 33EMYBW, and Cha Cha's Faded Ghost. Hong Kong's post-punk act David Boring is worth mentioning too for their incredible debut release which came out this past year.

2. 这一年在北京乐空间看了不少好的演出，对我来说最印象深刻的应该是鸟撞，绝对是最震撼的现场表演。当然 David Boring的现场表演也绝对是过去几个月里最难忘的。

This year has been great for live shows with YUE Space stepping it up and several new venues opening in Beijing. For me though, the most rewarding has been watching Birdstriking make the transition to a five-piece honing their sound and coming into their own with a powerful and polished live show. They are definitely a band to catch live in 2018!

David Boring also deserves mention here for their incredible live show along with Beijing's youngest Riot Grrrl act Xiao Wang, who have been performing almost weekly for the past couple months.

3.现在有很多事情正在乐坛发生，我特别想了解中国的朋克和硬核音乐的发展，朋克音乐节在许多地方都在出现。另外朋克和金属乐结合的音乐在中国也很有朝气。北京现在有很多值得看的艺人，北京现在拥有d-beat (Zan Kou / D-Crash), 80s激流金属(Tumourboy), 泥浆金属sludge (Never Before / Stinky Humans Abuse to Subsist)和fastcore乐队(Dr. Liu & the Human Centipede / Curry3000)。我很高兴2018年会带来什么！

While plenty is happening across the musical spectrum, I'm eagerly watching the resurgent of China's punk and hardcore scene. Punk festivals have been popping up across the country, and the Beijing-based promotion and merch company As One is now hosting a yearly hardcore fest. That combined with the mixing of punk and metals is making China a pretty good place for extreme music. Beijing now hasd-beat (Zan Kou / D-Crash), 80s-style thrash metal (Tumourboy), sludge (Never Before / Stinky Humans Abuse to Subsist) and good ol' fastcore (Dr. Liu &the Human Centipede / Curry3000). I'm excited to see what 2018 will bring!

1. 17年好像没有听很多新的作品，虽然像pitchfork、spin或者the fader还是会对我听新作品有影响，但是会更多关注the quietus, drowned in sound这类比较小但质量也很好的媒体。而且对于小而精厂牌的关注，也能发现不少好东西。这个列表只是2017年才认识的全新的艺人/乐团，像之前就知道的乐队，比如Protomartyr, Fufanu, Fazerdaze, Makthaverskan等等虽然都在17年发行了很好的专辑，但他们并不是我这一年里的'新发现'。

It seems that I didn't listen to much new stuff in 2017. Though Pitchfork, Spin or The Fader still has an impact on my choice of new music, I pay more attention to those small media but with high content quality such as The Quietus and Drowned in Sound, as well as those small but fine labels, which helps me to discover a lot of good stuff. The list I provide below includes just those artists/bands of which I first made  acquaintances in 2017. Bands I've already known like Protomartyr, Fufanu, Fazerdaze, Makthaverskan, etc. also released excellent albums in 2017, but they are not in this list of "my new discoveries".

3.想多听欧美之外的东西，开功已经带来了Tinariwen, Bombino，真的很棒！其他国家还有非常多的宝藏，比如Mdou Moctar，Ata Kak，Derya Yildirim & Grup Simsek，The Mauskovic Dance Band，所以新一年想多听这些东西。

老一套，期待很多一直关注的乐队的新专辑，比如说，你们都知道的，不列举了。

不想再听garage+psychedelic标签的任何乐队

Want more goodmusic other than the Europe and US stuff. It's really great that Split Works brought Tinariwen and Bombino to China. There are plenty of music treasures in other countries as well, such as Mdou Moctar, Ata Kak, Derya Yildirim & Grup Simsek and The Mauskovic Dance Band. In the new year, I'm willing to listen to more of these things.

As for the same old stuff, looking forward to new releases of many bands that I keep following, for example, well, as you've already known, I'm not going to list them here.

No more "garage" + "psychedelic" labeled bands.

3.让人感觉到想象力，但不刻意制造新奇的音乐。

Music that ignites imagination but doesn't show off its creativity.

1.如果是今年的新专辑，推荐King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard的《Flying Microtonal Banana》

2. 解离的真实（Mirrors）乐队在潮潮音乐节。

3.国内的话，期待兵马司旗下乐队即将发行的新专辑。

国外期待Goat, The Brian Jonestown Massacre的新专辑，这两支乐队也是2017年我听的最多的乐队。Split Works今年把很多我特别喜欢的乐队都带来中国了，期待今年能看到更多喜欢的乐队的现场，感恩。

1.这几年一直都没有系统的留意新乐队，平时基本都是听五六十年代的专辑。

外国新乐队的偶尔也会听一些像Allah Las \ Triptides \ Shindigs \ Sugar  Candy Mountain \ The Babe Rainbow 这样的，国内的有TOW、海豚踢、Boiled Hippo 都是比较喜欢的。

2.工作太忙，看演出也少，海豚踢在School那次演出非常棒
3.江浙沪地区这两年新乐队出采的很多，其实新的一年更希望能听到更多国内有意思的新声音。

1.实话17年感觉没听什么特别让我印象深刻的音乐。16年在bandcamp上发现的美国冲浪乐队Summer Salt发了一张新EP《So Polite》依然不错。然后还是在bandcamp上有个叫Chillhop Records的厂牌，他们每个季度会发一张合辑，我经常放在办公室当背景音乐。国内的乐队的话今年看的SNSOS,Foster Parents还有Fayzz都挺不错的。（发现我从朋克变成了一个休闲养生人士）

 2.2017年我看过的最棒的演出是Cornelius(小山田圭吾)，7月底在富士音乐节。叹为观止。

3接下来的一年里我希望能多听点开心的音乐，有劲一点的。所有人都玩很丧的音乐感觉不是什么好事。

3.现在我很期待TheXX的演出

1.  盘尼西林的《童话国王》，对角巷的《Tonight》,鸟撞的《25》，Casino Demon的《你好，雷欧》

2.  来自成都的明日之憧乐队在School的演出；Octopoulpe乐队在School的演出

3.  摇滚乐，真正的摇滚乐，Rock’n’Roll

1.  London Grammar听到时有惊喜，狂听了几天为了治愈，发现听多了比较腻

2.  Youtube上看的Nils Frahm的一个现场

3.  没什么期待的，能听啥听啥吧
