五年前的那场惨祸太过令人心痛，现在已没人愿意再去提起。不过保罗·沃克的母亲Cheryl最近透露，保罗当天其实是可以避免那场车祸的，只因收到一条短信，命运就发生了翻天覆地的改变。

Cheryl回忆说，保罗当时正带着女儿梅朵来看望自己，一家人在商量着如何过圣诞节，保罗原计划当晚要和女儿一起去买圣诞树，并且陪着女儿一起装饰，但这时他突然收到了一条短信。

原来，保罗忘记了当天还要出席基金会举办的慈善汽车秀，该短信正是提醒他去参加活动。看到短信后，保罗便立马出门了，结果在结束活动时坐上了好友罗杰的驾驶的保时捷……

如果没有那条短信，如果保罗没看到那条短信……

五年后的今天，保罗·沃克的女儿梅朵已经20岁，并已进军模特圈，而且她还在操持着保罗·沃克基金会的运作。保罗·沃克生前乐于助人，热爱动物与自然，主演过《南极大冒险(Eight Below)》，如今女儿梅朵在继续着他的善举。

在今天这个保罗·沃克离世五周年的日子，纪录片《I Am Paul Walker》确定将公开一个特别加长版，比这部影片今年8月首播时的内容多出约半小时，增加了其家人与朋友的受访片段，还会公开保罗从小到大的一些珍贵影像。《I Am Paul Walker》定于12月4日发行DVD。
