从这个中秋开始（9月24、26-30日）林肯爵士乐上海中心将迎来被称为具有“Dizzy Gillespie”影子的传奇小号手Jon Faddis，出生于1953年的他，7岁时在荧幕听到Louis Armstrong演奏便深受启发，开始小号的学习。随后15岁时遇见Dizzy Gillespie，开始了俩人近三十年的友谊。

This mid-Autumn season (September 24th & 26th-30th), Jazz at Lincoln Center Shanghai brings onto our stage legendary trumpet player Jon Faddis, protégé and mentee of "Dizzy Gillespie". Born in 1953, Faddis began playing at age seven, inspired by an appearance by Louis Armstrong. At 15 years old, he met Dizzy Gillespie, sparking a friendship that spanned almost three decades.

Jon Faddis对乐器有着卓越的驾驭能力，小号演奏技艺在当今爵士乐坛无人可及。他的演奏总能够唤起人们的热情，擅长高音，起承转合又甚是巧妙，听他的演奏会让人浮想联翩，即能感受到Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong, Dizzy Gillespie等爵士小号大师的身影，又不失其个人风范。

Jon Faddis possesses a virtually unparalleled range and full command of his instrument, making the practically impossible seem effortless. His flawless technique is perfectly matched with his emotional touch; his passion for the music is unmistakable, which carries onto the audience. In his performances, he evokes the voices of Armstrong, Davis, Eldridge, all while remaining true to his own.

提琴手：Malik McLaurine

Malik在纽约皇后区出生并长大，是一位年轻的低音提琴手。曾在著名的纽约州立大学音乐学院，在Doug Weiss和Todd Coolman的指导下学习。Malik的父亲是知名低音演奏家Marcus McLaurine。 Malik在音乐方面似乎继承了父亲的天才，他曾与Abraham Burton，David Gibson，Eric McPherson，Duke Ellington Orchestra和George Gee Orchestra等合作演出。

Malik is a young and rising violinist who was born and raised in Queens, New York. He attended the renowned SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Music where he studied under Doug Weiss and Todd Coolman. Besides his formal schooling, his upbringing and genetics may have played a significant role in his success with the bass, as his father Marcus McLaurine is one of the most sought-after bassists in jazz. Malik has played and recorded with Abraham Burton, David Gibson, Eric McPherson, Duke Ellington Orchestra, and George Gee Orchestra, among others.

吉他手：Andrew Latona

Andrew在美国马里兰州长大，向Paul Wingo, Paul Carr 还有 Gary Thomas学习音乐，并在16岁时就开始进行演出。从纽约州立大学音乐学院毕业后，Andrew搬到纽约布鲁克林，在那里成为一名自由吉他手，与Jon Faddis，Butch Warren，Ton Harrell，Cecil Bridgewater，Rene Rosnes，Bill Charlap以及其他几位爵士乐音乐人一起演出。

Andrew grew up in Maryland, having started playing guitar at a young age. He studied music with Paul Wingo, Paul Carr, and Gary Thomas, and was already playing gigs by the time he was 16. Upon graduating from SUNY Purchase, Andrew moved to Brooklyn, New York where he works as a freelance guitarist, playing on-stage with jazz masters such as Jon Faddis, Butch Warren, Ton Harrell, Cecil Bridgewater, Rene Rosnes, and Bill Charlap.

鼓手：Rodney Green

17岁时就被认为是“才华横溢的年轻鼓手”的Rodney在14岁时开始向Scott Robinson 学习，自此埋下了与爵士乐的渊源。他在19岁时加入了歌手Diana Krall的乐队，丰富了他对音乐的感知，以及提升了作为一名鼓手的专业度。目前，他已经拥有了丰富的演出经历、巡回演出和唱片。

Recognized as a "talented young drummer" at age 17, Rodney only started his first formal music lesson at age 14 with percussionist Scott Robinson – where his love for jazz only intensified. He joined the band of vocalist Diana Krall at age 19, where he further honed his range and solidified his reputation as a jazz musician. Today, Rodney Green is a seasoned professional with plenty of experience and skill, having completed countless gigs, tours, and records.

This week, jazz master Kurt Elling brings one of this season's most can't-miss jazz performances. On September 23rd (this Sunday), he also makes his appearance at the "Pre-Concert Talk", where fans will get the chance to catch him up close and personal as he shares his life in "poetic jazz".
