1. 打电话介绍自己，口语化用It's...; 正式的用This is...; 千万不要说I am...；

2. 委婉礼貌地表达自己的目的，并希望对方不要拒绝时，用I was wondering if.....句型，此处过去时只是起委婉语气的作用，前后都用过去时保持一致。例句：I was wondering if you wanted to have dinner with me tonight. 此句比直接问‘Do you want to have dinner with me?’更委婉，更让对方无法拒绝，虽然两句意思一样，但I was wondering if...一定更好；

3. 感叹时光飞逝怀旧时用after all these years ；例句：I can't believe you're still teaching English after all these years.我真不敢相信经过这么些年你还在教英语；

4. 陌生人的第一次见面可以用meet，这也是为什么初次见面说Nice to meet you;不能说Nice to see you; 朋友之间的碰头也可以用meet;例句：Let's meet at 5.咱们五点碰面吧；

5. go over...在此处表示‘回顾；回忆’；例句：Can you go over what happened last night again? 你能再仔细回忆下昨晚发生的事儿吗？

6. They say.......表示‘大家都这么说’或‘俗话说...’; 例句：They say it's no use crying over spilt milk. 大家都说覆水难收；或：俗话说覆水难收。

7. be supposed to do...在此表示‘按道理应该’：She's supposed to be here by now.按道理她现在应该到了啊；

8. heal ya; heal表示‘治愈’；ya=you都表示‘你，你们’

8. ain't在此处表示‘haven't’; do much healing = heal much; 歌词换成：I haven't healed much也是同样意思。但歌词中用much healing是因为me与meet押韵；everything与healing押韵。
