Infinite life means there is no limit to existence, no boundary of the life, no end of the life. In this instance, with infinite life, what kind of meaning can we find? Is it good or bad for us? If our life is painful, that means our endless life will endure endless pain. If our life is happy, that means our happiness will be endless. In other words, happiness or pain extends with the infinite life to become infinite. In this regard, we will have to settle the issue of endless pain or endless happiness in our endless life. Therefore, in order to remove the infinite sufferings, we must arouse an infinite aspiration, upon which we rely. That is to say, we must have an infinite Bodhi mind to aspire, and to persist with, thereby our provisions of merit, wisdom and compassion will accumulate constantly, until they become so perfect that the limitedness turns into infiniteness. Without such conditions, our infinite life will keep going on, unchanged in its course, whereas our aspiration and actions will remain so weak, so limited.
