The Weeknd是一名26岁来自加拿大的歌手，艺名The Weenknd来源于17岁那年的一个周末（weekend），他辍学永远地离开了高中，拼写的变形是为了避免版权问题。度过了几年不成功的写歌生涯后，他把天赋带到了youtube，因而结交了Drake，事业开始起步，直到这首风靡全美的年度歌曲出现将他推向了事业的巅峰。

上瘾是这首soul与R&B风格舞曲带给我直接的感受，无论是从曲调还是歌词上讲。歌词看似在描写爱情中的挣扎，却隐晦地讲述一段关于毒品的故事。

“她”带来了麻木以至失去了知觉，让你陶醉于迷幻的美好世界中。“她”会安慰你直到你心甘情愿地走进毁灭的陷阱。”她“终究不是真正的伴侣，她的无情，欺骗性，人对毒品的幻想，依赖歌词里体会。
