格前15:1-11

路7:36-50

我们今天读到两个法利塞人的故事，他们都是耶稣时代的法学士。一个是福音中的西满，一个是读经一中的保禄。

西满确信自己完美无罪的，他邀请耶稣做客，却又先入为主，以偏见批评、判断耶稣。他的心没有对耶稣开放，仍然骄傲、自满和评断。

相反，保禄公开承认他丢人的过去，他仇恨过基督，迫害甚至杀死了基督徒。保禄变的谦虚了，知道他罪恶深重。现在他充满爱，宣讲爱。接受了耶稣基督的仁慈宽恕，保禄现今去实行宽恕之道。

保禄从心里接受了耶稣，他成了圣人。

让我们珍惜忏悔圣事的恩典，在主的祭台前，领受耶稣的体血、灵魂和天主性。

Today we have the story of 2 Pharisees, the experts of religion in Jesus time. In the Gospel is Simon, in the 1st Reading is Paul.

Simon believes himself to be perfect and sinless. He invites Jesus to his table, but only to analyze and judge Jesus according to his pre-conceived biases. There is no openness to Jesus in his heart. He remains proud, self-serving and judgmental.

In contrast, Paul publicly confesses his shameful past as hater of Christ and persecutor (even killer) of Christians. He has become humble, knowing how sinful he was. He now loves and preaches love, having known life without love. He is now forgiving, having received the mercy and forgiveness of Jesus.

Paul received Jesus into his heart. It is him who is a Saint.

Let us treasure the gift of Confession and receive the totality of Jesus - His Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity at the Lord's Table.
