It was Amber's birthday.

爱博尔的生日到了。

She wanted a dog.

她想要一只狗狗。

So Amber, Pete, Mum and Dad 

于是，爱博尔、皮特、爸爸和妈妈

went to the dogs' home.

一起去了狗狗之家。

"I like this little dog,"said Dad.

爸爸说：“我喜欢这只小狗。”

"I like this little dog,"said Mum.

妈妈说：“我喜欢这只小狗。”

"I like this little dog,"said Pete.

皮特说：“我喜欢这只小狗。”

"I love this big dog,"said Amber.

爱博尔说：“我喜欢这只大狗。”

"That big dog will eat a lot,"said Amber's dad.

爱博尔的爸爸说道：“那只大狗很能吃的。”

"That big dog will want lots of walks,"said Amber's mum.

妈妈说：“那只大狗要你经常带他出去遛才行。”

"I will look after the big dog,"said Amber.

爱博尔问：“我会照料这只大狗，

"Please can we have him?"

我能养他吗？”

So they took the big dog home.

于是，他们带着大狗回家了。

The next day, Amber took the big dog for a walk in the park.

第二天，爱博尔带着大狗到公园去散步。

The big dog ran off.

大狗挣脱了狗链，跑走了。

"Stop! Stop! wait for me!"shouted Amber.

爱博尔大声叫道：“停，停下来！等等我！”

Then the big dog jumped up at a man.

然后，大狗跳起来，扑向了一个路人。

"Oh, no!"said Amber.

爱博尔叫道：“喔，不！”

Then the big dog jumped in a pond.

然后，大狗又跳进了一个池塘。

"Oh, no!"said Amber.

爱博尔叫道：“噢，不！”

At the end of the walk, Amber was tired, but the big dog wasn't.

最后，爱博尔累坏了，但大狗一点也不累。

When she got home, Amber had an idea.

回到家后，爱博尔想到了一个好主意。

She got her go-cart out of the shed.

她从贮藏间里找出了她的小拖车。

Amber put the dog in front of the go-cart. 

爱博尔把大狗拴到了小拖车的前面。

Then she got in.

然后，她坐到了车上。

They went to the park.

然后，他们又去了公园。

The big dog pulled the go-cart  along.

大狗一路拖着小拖车。

The big dog got tired but Amber didn't.

不久后，大狗就疲惫不堪了，但爱博尔还是精力充沛。

"What a good idea!"said everyone.

所有的路人都说：“这个方法真不错！”
