Olivia and the Missing Toy.

奥莉薇和失踪的玩具

One day Olivia was riding a camel in Egypt…

有一天，当奥莉薇正在埃及骑骆驼时…..

When her mother woke her up.

她妈妈把她从睡梦里叫醒了。

‘‘Time to get up, sweetie-pie. Remember, you have soccer this morning.”

“该起床了，宝贝，别忘了，你今天早上有足球课。”

Olivia’s uniform comes in a really unattractive green.

奥莉薇的足球服是那种实在不起眼的绿色。

“Mommy, can you make me a red shirt like this one ? please?...”

“妈咪，你能给我做一件像这样的红色足球服吗?求求你了……”

“But then you’ll look different from everyone else on the team” explained her mother.

“但是这样你就和球队其他的人看起来不一样了。”她妈妈解释说。

“That’s the point.”

“就是想要不一样。”

When Olivia came home from practice, her mother was working on the shirt.

当奥莉薇练习完回到家，她妈妈正在做那件衣服。

“Is it done yet?” she asked.

“做好了吗？”她问。

“Not yet.” Said her mother.

“还没有” 她妈妈说。

Olivia waited, and waited, and waited, till she was too exhausted to wait any longer.

奥莉薇等啊等，等啊等，直到筋疲力尽，再也等不下去了。

So she went out to play with the cat.

所以她就出去玩猫了。

“Look,darling, it’s all done!” said her mother.

“看，宝贝，做好了！”她妈妈说。

But something was missing.

但是什么东西不见了。

“Wait a second.” Said Olivia.

“等一下。”奥莉薇说。

“Whereis my toy?”

“我的玩偶呢？”

“Where is my toy? It was right on the bed. I just put it there. I remember exactly.That’s my best toy. I need it now! Somebody took my best toy!”

“我的玩偶呢？刚刚明明就在床上。我就放那儿的。我记得清清楚楚的。那是我最好的玩具。我现在就要！有人拿了我最好的玩具。

Olivia looked everywhere ——,

奥莉薇到处都找遍了

under the rug, 地毯下面

under the sofa, 沙发下面

under the cat.  猫下面

She asked her little brother, Ian, 

“WHAT DID YOU DO WITH MY TOY?”  

她问她的弟弟伊恩，“你对我的玩偶做了什么？”

She asked her baby brother, William

  “WHAT DID YOU DO WITH MY TOY?”

她问她的小弟弟威廉，“你对我的玩偶做了什么？”

“woosheegaga” “哇啦哇啦。”

That night，and it was dark and stormy night, Olivia was practicing her piano, when she heard an awful sound.

那天晚上，天很黑，风雨交加，奥莉薇正在练钢琴的时候，听到一个可怕的声音。

The sound got louder and louder.  声音越来越大。

It was HORRIBLE,and it was coming from behind the door. 

太可怕了，声音是从门背后传出来的。

So,of course, Olivia went inside. 奥莉薇当然开门进去了。

 And that’s when she saw it. It was… 就在那时，她看到…..

THE DOG! And he’d chewed her toy to bits. 

狗！而且它把她的玩偶咬成了碎片。

“Mommy, Daddy , Mommy ,Daddy! It was Perry!” cried Olivia.

“妈妈，爸爸，妈妈，爸爸！是佩奇！” 奥莉薇叫道。

“He took my best toy and chewed it to bits, and now it’s wrecked.” 

“他拿了我最好的玩具，把它咬成了碎片，现在玩偶都坏了。”

“I’m sorry, sweet-pie,” said her mother, “but doggied like to chew. And he didn’t know it was your toy.”

 “我很抱歉，甜心，”她妈妈说，“但是狗狗喜欢咬东西。而且它也不知道那是你的玩具。”

“My best toy” “我最好的玩具。”

“Don’t worry,” said Olivia’s father. “别担心，” 奥莉薇的爸爸说。

“Tomorrow we’ll go get you the very best toy in the whole world.”

 “明天我们带你去买个世界上最好的玩具。”

“Oh, thank you, daddy. I love you more than anyone.”

 “谢谢爸爸，我最爱你。”

Still, it was Olivia’s best toy. So she fixed it. 

但是，这是奥莉薇最好的玩具。所以她把它修好了。

Adding a bow for extra beauty. All better. 

加了个蝴蝶结，更漂亮了，完全复原了。

“Only books about cats tonight, Mommy.” “妈妈，今天晚上就只讲关于猫的这些书。”

But even Olivia couldn’t stay mad forever. 

但是即便是奥莉薇，也不能一直疯下去。
