性别天注定，性别意识和对性别角色看法的养成却是有操作空间的。甫一出生，我们就用蓝色绿色定义男孩，用红色粉色界定女孩，给男孩以汽车枪炮，送女孩以鲜花娃娃，鲜明的性别意识好形成，但对性别角色的看法则不然。教男孩尊重女孩，教女孩自强自立远离公主病，绘本就是个很好的帮手。
小鹿讲过很多绘本，但因为如意是小男生，选书上还是以男孩喜欢的绘本居多，以至于已经有读者提出要求讲女生绘本了。本期小鹿精心挑选了这本《OLIVIA》（中文叫《奥莉薇》），跟大家分享一个小女孩的小可爱和小调皮。
《OLIVIA》是2001年的凯迪克银奖绘本，绘本讲的故事挺简单，就是猪猪女孩奥莉薇的生活日常，但就在这简单的故事里，一个机灵倔强，充满活力的小女孩形象无比鲜活，跃然纸上。她最擅长的事是把人累昏，会偷偷涂妈妈的口红，在出门前还要把所有的衣服都试一遍。老母亲是全程带着姨母笑读完这本书的，这样可爱又让人无可奈何的奥莉薇是不是和你家宝宝一模一样呢？一起来看看奥莉薇的故事吧。

She runs around.

She can even do a handstand.
她甚至会倒立。
Finally, she wears herself out.
终于，她把自己也累坏了。
Look, Olivia is tired.

She lies on the ground to grasp some rest.

Olivia has a little brother named Ian. He's always copying.
奥利薇有个弟弟叫伊恩。他总爱模仿别人。
The piggy standing behind Olivia must be her little brother Ian.
站在奥莉薇身后的那只小猪一定就是她的弟弟伊恩。
What are they doing?
他们在干什么呢？
Olivia dresses herself up, wears her mom`s lipstick and high heels.
她打扮起来，涂了妈妈的口红，穿了妈妈的高跟鞋。
She also wears a necklace and a bowknot on her ears.
她还戴了项链，在耳朵上戴了蝴蝶结。
She is admiring herself in the mirror.
她正对着镜子臭美呢。
What about Ian?
伊恩又在干什么呢？
He wears mom`s lipstick too.
他也涂了妈妈的口红。
But what he doesn`t know is, boys don`t wear lipstick.
但他不知道的是，男生是不涂口红的。
Sometimes Ian just won't leave her alone, so Olivia has to be firm.
伊恩有时就是不愿给她一刻的空歇，这时奥利薇就会装作一副很严苛的样子。
Olivia wears a paper bag to scare Ian away.
奥莉薇戴了个纸袋把伊恩吓跑了。
But it is not friendly to do so.
可是这么做太不友好了。
Sometimes we do feel like to be alone.
有时候我们的确想自己一个人呆着。
You can tell others directly that you want to be alone for a while.

Olivia gets dressed. She has to try on everything.

On rainy days, Olivia likes to go to the museum.

She heads straightly for her favorite picture.

Olivia looks at it for a long time. What could she be thinking?

The ballet dancers on the picture are so beautiful.

But there is one painting Olivia just doesn't get.
但那儿有一副画奥利薇一直没能理解。
"I could do that in about five minutes," she says to her mother.

It is an abstract painting.

"Only five books tonight, Mommy," she says.
妈妈，今晚就只读五本书。
"No, Olivia, just one."
“不行奥利薇，只能读一本。”
"How about four?"
“那就4本行吗？”
"Two."
“2本”
"Three."
“3本”
"Oh, all right, three. But that's it!"
“好吧，那就3本。但只有这些。”
We do some reading before go to sleep, too.
睡觉前我们也看书的。

When they've finished reading, Olivia's mother gives her a kiss and says, "You know, you really wear me out. But I love you anyway."
当故事都讲完的时候，奥利薇的妈妈亲了亲她说“你知道吗，你真是让我累晕了，但我还是很爱你。”
And Olivia gives her a kiss back and says,"I love you anyway too."
奥利薇也亲了亲妈妈说，我也很爱你。
My dear, you wears me out, too.
宝宝啊，你也把妈妈累坏了。
But I love you, anyway.
但妈妈也还是爱你。
