Upon release No Shame was met with generally positive reviews from music critics, who praised the album's mature lyrical content and themes, Allen's artistic evolution, the composition and production. The album peaked at number eight on the UK Albums Chart and also reached the top forty of the Australian, New Zealand and Irish charts

It’s important to note that this isn’t the first timeAllen has called out the fact that rarely anyone phones her.
Despite being separated by a period of almost a decade, the repeated lyric indicates the situation remains the same. However, as displayed by Allen’s change in tone and inclusion of swearing (咒骂), her attitude has turned confrontational (对抗性的).
