Part 1 Information you should know beforestarting
What is the purpose of the study?
The purpose of thestudy is to investigate the relationship between people’s passion towards theirwork and their work-related learning and development.
Who is doing this research and why?
This study would beundertaken by Yawen Fan. This study is part of the MSc Business Psychology atLoughborough University.
Are there any exclusion criteria?
You should becurrently in employment in order to be eligible for this study.
What will I be asked to do?
The study would beconducted in the form of a questionnaire. Participants will be required toanswer questions in accordance with their working experiences.
Once I take part, can I change my mind?
If you have anyquestions after you have read this information, feel free to contact us. Pleasenote your participation is voluntary and you may decide to leave the study atany time if you feel uncomfortable with specific questions. But once you finishthe questionnaire and submit it, it will not be possible to withdraw yourindividual data from the research.
How long will it take?
The questionnairewill take up to 15 minutes.
Will my taking part in this study be kept confidential?
The informationcollected from questionnaire would be recorded anonymously and remainconfidential. Individuals’ data will be known only to the researchers directlyinvolved in the project.

This scale consists of 17 items, measuring the extent to which peoplepassionate in their work. If one has passion towards works, one wouldinvest large amount of time and money on work.
Use the scale tothe right of each item to respond by ticking the correct response. Each item is rated on 5-point scale ranging from 1=Never to 5= Always.
