教材说明

English for the humanities 3 人文英语3是由国家开放大学出版，国家开放大学外语部部长刘占荣教授主编的职场英语系列教材。已替代先前的开放英语系列用书。人文英语3总共8个单元，内容紧贴生活、紧扣实际，是一种实用性很强的英语教材。教材最大的一个亮点：可以扫描二维码下载音视频资源，随时随地用手机或平板电脑进行学习。大家可以先下载“开放云书院”，下载后，用自己的手机注册登录（不会扣费或收费）。

形成性考核册

人文英语3的形成性考核册，即作业，共有五部分内容，每部分占分值20%，合计100分。

前三部分为作业1、2、3为单元练习题，考查每单元学习情况，满分100元，按占分值的20%计入总分。

第四部分为由课任老师根据学习过程自主设计或命题的作业（模拟试题、文章写作、听力测试、口语测试、朗读测试和其它考核形式），测试实际能力。

第五部分为学习表现综合评价，针对学习过程的一种评分。

学员位只有认真完成这五部分内容，才能获得形成性考核的较好的成绩。

A Crime Happened in the School

At 12:30 last night, when everybody was asleep, two thieves broke into a lab on the second floor and there, they found some expensive equipment. When they were trying to move the equipment out of the building, the doorkeeper heard the sound and immediately called the police nearby the school. The two thieves were at last caught 20 minutes later. The policemen warned everyone to keep away from thieves.

Advantages

1. The students have regular classes, and they can meet teachers and classmates everyday.

2. The students can attend different activities to enrich their lives.

3. The students can borrow useful books from the library.

Disadvantages:

1. The cost of formal education is high.

2. The formal education is not as flexible as open education.

3. The students don't have much choice because everything is set beforehand.

Wanted criminal

At about 11.00 p.m. last Saturday, there was a robbery on the 6th street. At that time,a young man was robbed by another man, and he lost a handbag with a computer, mobile phone and his passport. 

According to victim description, the wanted criminal was short and slim, and his face was long and big. He has big eyes with cruel eyesight, long and dirty fingernails. And he wore a worn jacket, a pair of jeans and trainers.

第四部分为由课任老师根据学习过程自主设计或命题的作业（模拟试题、文章写作、听力测试、口语测试、朗读测试和其它考核形式），测试实际能力。

I'm Zhangsan. I'm 30 years old. There are five people in my family, my parents, my wife, my duaghter and I. My father is 60 years old. He takes  my daughter to school every day.  Example Two

      I have a good friend. Her name is Xiaoyan.  She is 30 years of age. She lives in Yuyao. We both work in the same company.  We have been friends for ten years. She likes travelling, climing and dancing. She dislikes staying at home for nothing. She has travelled to most of the cities in China. The most interesting thing is that we both go out for travelling. During the journey we can have some sight seeing, meet some friends and have some delicious foods.
