British pop star Robbie Williams is set to hit Shanghai later this year. He's bringing his Let Me Entertain You tour to the Mercedes-Benz Arena in September.

Williams, who first found fame as a cheeky teenager with boyband Take That, will be performing hits such as 'Angels', 'Rock DJ' and 'Kids' (which originally featured Kylie Minogue) as part of his first concert in Mainland China. Although you're probably most familiar with his mid-late '90s hits, the Stoke-born singer returned to the top of the charts in 2013 with his album Swing Both Ways, which saw him team up with Lily Allen, Rufus Wainwright and Kelly Clarkson among others. The album saw him equal Elvis' haul of 11 number one records in the UK.

It's not the only record our Robbie holds either - he sold the most concert tickets in a single day in 2006 (1.6 million) and once held the largest open air concert ever in the UK, performing to 375,000 people over three nights at Knebworth in 2003.

Tickets for the slightly more modest show here in Shanghai will go on sale from 2pm on April 20.
