Amber Road is a Sydney design studio founded by designer Katy Svalbe and Yasmine Ghoniem, the studio dedicated to creating inspiration and unique inner and outer space, regardless of size. The studio's design types range from urban parks to beautiful custom lights and everything in between.

Katy Svalbe在西班牙生活和工作了六年，参与了一些重大项目的设计。而Yasmine Ghoniem在美国毕业后，则在美国和中东生活和工作。然后在2013年Yasmine回到澳大利亚和Katy 一起组建了Amber Road。

Katy Svalbe lived and worked in Spain for six years, where she was involved in the design and delivery of major projects. After graduating in the USA, Yasmine Ghoniem lived and worked in the States and the Middle East before returning to Australia in 2013 to form Amber Road with Katy.

Amber Road的命名源于一条古老的贸易路线，从波罗的海地区运送珍贵的树脂宝石琥珀到北非。Katy的父亲是拉脱维亚人，而Yasmine 是埃及人，所以她们选择了“Amber Road”来连接她们之间，同时也暗示了她们对旅行和冒险的热爱。

The name of Amber Road comes from an ancient trade route that transported precious resin, gemstone and Amber from the Baltic region to north Africa. Katy's father is latvian and Yasmine is Egyptian, so they chose "Amber Road" to connect them, and it also hinted at their love of travel and adventure.

Amber Road‘s goal is to create places and products that truly reflect customer values, not off-the-shelf or cliched designs - but based on strong foundational considerations, bold concepts and clever details. The integration of carefully selected original artwork has also become a signature of the studio.
