Known for his bluntness, Shoes explains why his label—Street Corner Music—mostly releases beat tapes: “A lot of it isinstrumental because a lot of this rap shit is fucking trash these days.”

DJ House Shoes，是一个出生于美国底特律的hiphop DJ和制作人，目前生活并工作于加利福尼亚洛杉矶。他曾为诸如Phat Kat, Proof, Elzhi, Pumpkinhead, MarvWon, J Dilla, Danny Brown, and Quelle Chris等大牌艺人制作专辑。他曾两次以杰出HIPHOP DJ的身份夺得底特律音乐大奖（2005年和2006年）。House shoes在Lathrup Village长大。在他还在上小学时当Father MC的侄子搬到了他的社区并给他放了一些如Fat boys，Run DMC和Ice T的磁带后接触到了HIPHOP。他的母亲在1993年曾送给了他一双LB Evans的house shoes，他在几年内去哪儿都穿这双鞋，日后他便给自己取了这个名字。

DJ House Shoes,is an American Detroit-born hip hop producer and DJ, who currently lives and works in Los Angeles, California. He served as a producer on albums by PhatKat, Proof, Elzhi, Pumpkinhead, Marv Won, J Dilla, Danny Brown, and Quelle Chris among others. He's a two-time Detroit Music Awards winner for Outstanding Hip-Hop DJ (in 2005 and 2006). House Shoes grew up in Lathrup Village. He was introduced to hip-hop in elementary school when Father MC's nephew moved into his neighborhood and played him tapes by artists like The Fat Boys, Run DMC,and Ice T. He was given the name House Shoes after his mother gave him a pairof LB Evans house shoes in 1993 that he wore everywhere for several years.

House Shoes has toured extensively throughout the U.S. and Europe with artists Guilty Simpson,Illa J, Exile, Aloe Blacc, Percee P, Phat Kat, Slum Village and Elzhi, to namea few, as well as on his own. But he has garnered the respect of acts faroutside the scope of Detroit hip-hop. Most recently, House Shoes performed astour DJ on Mayer Hawthorne & The County's Spring 2010 16-city headlining tour. Shoes also a regular radio show on Dublab called Magic.
