Exhibition-Atelier
During the conference, the "Mosaic of Marks, Words, Materials" Exhibition-Atelier from Reggio Emilia, were also held at the EtonHouse Harbin Qunli Campus. The intent of this exhibition is to better understand the poetic fabric weaving together drawings and words, and convey the cognitive and expressive richness children generate.
On the morning of January 11th, Mr. Liu Limin, President of the China Education Association for International Exchange, Former Vice Minister of Education of China, visited the "Mosaic of Marks, Words, Material" Exhibition-Atelier under the guidance of Mr. Mu Liguo from the Wanhe International Education Group and accompanied by Ms. Xiao Dan, the principal of EtonHouse Harbin in Singapore, and gave it high praise.
At the same meantime, the experts from Reggio Children also came to the Exhibition-Atelier for visit and guidance. Through the Exhibition-Atelier, we will have a deeper exploration of how drawings and materials are informed by words and mental imagery, and of how they are informed by the senses and perceptions (visual, tactile, sound, physical). Also to be vigilant and attentive so that in the daily life of the school, the quality of learning, the sensory perceptions and imaginaries, and manual tools offered to children and adults do not become improverished or lost.
