Billboard presented the full list of nominees on Oct. 12 for the 2017 American Music Awards, which allows fans to vote for their favorite artists in each category. The list of nominees includes some of the biggest names across genres -- Kendrick Lamar, Bruno Mars, Coldplay, you get the drill -- and several of them took to Twitter to share their reactions to being nominated.

Many of these artists have been around the block before and tweeted the perfunctory nomination announcement. Others seemed genuinely shocked and humbled to be included on the list. One artist expressed her gratitude while also acknowledging the lack of female representation among the nominees, calling it a "missed opportunity."
