Born in Northumberland, England in 1966

Entered Bath College of Higher Education in 1988

From 1990 to 1992, he studied at Goldsmith's College in London

He was nominated for the Turner Prize in 2000

I like my paintings to die, not entirely to the world. For me, they exist in a world of dreams, a world of images in a subconscious mind, where I am sleeping and mutating.

Glenn Brown

Glen brown is good at digging out useful things from art history and pop culture, and thus creates an artistic language that transcends time and painting conventions. His stylistic impulses stem from a desire to give new life to the end-points of history. For all his reference and misappropriation of something else, he presents a new and memorable contemporary interpretation of the image. The borrowed image and landscape were carefully reconstructed and extended by him, and gradually made these themes fascinating and lively. Brown in delicate composition, combined with the history of the different elements, like a Renaissance, impressionism, surrealism, and thus created a space in abstract and deep, rational and absurd, beautiful and bizarre, mixed in a dizzying mix.
