Tom Peng New Grass Band

乐队成立了10年，最初只是演奏美国Country/Blue Grass，随着时间的推移，乐队成员的更新替换，很多欢快跳跃、节奏明快、新鲜多元的元素也随之融入进来，成为了一支以美国Blue Grass为主，同时融合了Blues、Jazz、Rock、Folk、World等音乐元素的标新立异的乐队。美国Blue Grass起源于20世纪30年代肯塔基州的山区，在Country基础上，吸收了当地古老的班卓音乐和提琴音乐以及南部山区的叙事歌曲等因素发展而成。经常使用的乐器有小提琴、班卓琴、原声吉他、曼陀林和立式贝司，这些乐器最初由农庄黑人舞蹈乐队普遍使用。

Tom Peng New Grass Band delivers heartfelt bluegrass music to JZ Shanghai. Their lineup of instruments and singers will present authentic American folk music to Shanghai audiences. The complex interplay of the fiddle and guitar, ringing sound of the banjo, blazing mandolin runs, and the high lonesome vocal harmonies recalls emotions from small country towns half a world away. New Grass Band plays music that is exciting, plaintive, heartwarming, and most of all… Human.

黄健怡，键盘、作曲、编曲，1997年上海音乐学院钢琴系本科毕业后，留校担任管弦系艺术指导老师。2000年考入美国伯克利音乐学院爵士钢琴系，并于音乐家辈出的美国新泽西RUTGERS大学爵士乐演奏研究生班进修，师从传奇爵士钢琴家Stanley Cowell教授。

Huang Jianyi was the first person in China to receive a master's degree in jazz piano. After graduating from Shanghai Conservatory of Music, he stayed and became the consultant director of the orchestra department. He started studying jazz pianoin 2000 while he was in Berklee College of Music, and also had the chance to study further with jazz pianist Stanley Cowell in Rutgers University in New Jersey.

Nathan East，贝斯手，制作人和词曲作者，格莱美奖获得者。成为Yamaha艺术家超过三十余年，现在仍然是世界上最受欢迎的音乐家之一。他曾与许多顶尖艺术家合作，包括Barry White，Kenny Loggins， Eric Clapton和Anita Baker等。Nathan参与过2000多张唱片的录制，其中包括Eric Clapton标志性的《Unplugged》。与Phil Collins＆Philip Bailey共同创作的热门歌曲《Easy Lover》获得MTV奖和英国最负盛名的Ivor Novello奖。除了为教皇若望保禄二世，英国女王伊丽莎白二世、Nelson Mandela以及美国总统奥巴马的就职音乐会表演外，美国国会还为他的艺术和对世界音乐社区做出的贡献授予了他美国国会的最高荣誉。

Nathan East has been a Yamaha artist for more than three decades and remains one of the world's most sought-after musicians. As a bassist, producer & songwriter, Nathan has collaborated with numerous top artists from Barry White and Kenny Loggins to Eric Clapton and Anita Baker. 

His Grammy Award winning steady groove and bass lines have provided the backdrop for a variety of mainstream Pop/Rock/R&B artists such as Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Elton John, Michael Buble, B.B. King, George Harrison, Whitney Houston, Barbara Streisand, Justin Timberlake, Daft Punk, Lionel Richie, Andrea Bocelli and TOTO to name a few. 

Nathan has also earned a reputation as one of the top Contemporary Jazz bassists for his collaborations with Quincy Jones, Herbie Hancock, Al Jarreau, Natalie Cole, George Benson, David Benoit and his own supergroup Fourplay co-founded with Bob James, Harvey Mason & Lee Ritenour in 1991. 

Nathan appears on more than two thousand recordings including the iconic "Unplugged" by Eric Clapton. In addition to performing for Pope John Paul II, Queen Elizabeth II, Nelson Mandela and at President Barack Obama's Inauguration Concert, East has been honored by the United States Congress with a Congressional Record awarded for his artistry and contribution to the worldwide music community.

II Funky Shu’s with Nu Soles 是一支已成军20年的乐队。自从他们1998年首次演出获得成功后，这支由著名音乐家组合而成乐队陆续收到了来自美国、中国、法国和日本的演出邀请，并成功收割了一大波世界上超具影响力的音乐家及乐队（Barry White, Earth Wind and Fire, Lakeside, Regina Belle, Morris Day , The Time等）。他们在音乐中大胆添加各种风格元素，将R&B，funk，jazz，pop/rock完美融合。

II Funky Shu’s with Nu Soles has performed together for 20 years. Since their debut performances in 1998, the husband and wife team, along with a well-known group of musicians, has given command performances throughout the United States, China, France, and Japan. They’ve opened for such world-renowned artists and groups such as Barry White, Earth Wind and Fire, Lakeside, Regina Belle, Morris Day and the Time, and many others.Take R&B, infuse it with a shot of funk, add a dash of soul, fold in a smidgen of jazz, and top it off with a sprinkle of modern pop/rock, and you’ve got II Funky Shu’s with Nu Soles.

PlaRay is a blend of Bulgarian and Mauritian cultures, with an air of Chinese culture as well. This team is renowned for its powerful grooves, spiritually inspired vocals. Based on awareness and love, its core is a harmonious and balanced family. Fresh blood of music flows through its veins, and its music style varies according to its performance. It could not only swing but also lead you into The Balkans to make you experience the exotic island spirits.

成立于2006年的JZ Big Band是中国顶级爵士大乐队，集合了中国国内外一流爵士乐手。乐队曾与Dee Dee Bridgewater、崔健, 李泉, 顺子，赵可…等同台合作, 受邀参演：丹麦哥本哈根爵士音乐节、历届爵士上海音乐节、上海国际电影节、爵士厦门音乐节等，以及上海世博会倒计时的演出。同时JZ Big Band曾作为荷兰歌后Laura Fygi中国巡演指定乐队，多次随Laura Fygi赴北京、广州、深圳、香港等地演出，受到中外观众的关注和喜爱。 从经典的摇摆乐、节奏感强烈的放克到热情的拉丁音乐，JZ Big Band将爵士的醇厚等各种风味更好地在展现乐迷面前。乐队融合而丰富的音乐风格，瞬间带我们回到爵士的黄金时代，让我们在最纯粹的演奏中陶醉。

The JZ Big Band performs everything from swinging classic jazz of Duke Ellingtonand Charlie Mingus, to funk and Latin music, as well their own originalcompositions and world music arrangements. Since 2012, their special performance in JZ Club every Monday has attracted people from everywhere to swing all of the night, just like going back to the golden times.

Midnight Concert The Royal Hombres

The Royal Hombres乐队从成立到现在已经是上海各音乐酒吧的演出常客，他们曾是Cotton Club的常驻演出。乐队的音乐风格融合了布鲁斯、放克、爵士，十多年的演出经验，现场感染力醉人又醉心。乐队领队是吉他手Greg Smith，他同时也是上海著名音乐酒吧Cotton Club的音乐总监，乐队其他成员包括贝斯手Jorland Paulino、鼓手Franecsco Perre、副吉他手兼人声Matt Cooper 。

The Royal Hombres have been a fixture on the Shanghai music scene from the beginning of time. They held court at the Cotton Club for nineteen years and their music reflects an eclectic mix of blues, jazz and funk. The band is led by American guitarist Greg Smith with Jorland Paulino on bass, Francesco Perre on drums and Matt Cooper on guitar and vocals.

Alvaro Cardenas Jr 14岁在音乐家父亲的影响下开始了自己的职业生涯，开始学习萨克斯。他从小就喜欢The Glenn Miller Big Band、Sonora Matancera of Cuba、Pacho Galan Orchestra、以及Lucho Bermudez of Colombia等乐团。16岁便开始加入各种乐团演奏Salsa和哥伦比亚北部的音乐。同时，开始探索爵士的概念和器乐演奏家诸如Stan Getz、 Coleman Hawkins、 Don Byas、 John Coltrane、 Charlie Parker、Dexter Gordon、Sonny Rollins、 Grover Washington Jr、Justo Almario, Paquito D’Rivera、Michael Brecker以及 Bob Mintzer。这些大师给Alvaro许多的研究途径、探索力和灵感，随后的二十年，他便一直致力于萨克斯教学与演奏。

Alvaro Cardenas Jr, began his musical career and saxophone studies at fourteen alongside his father Alvaro Cardenas Roman, a musician and composer. As a child, Alvaro liked The Glenn Miller Big Band, Sonora Matancera of Cuba, Pacho Galan Orchestra, and Lucho Bermudez of Colombia, amongst others. At sixteen, he began to play with various groups performing salsa music and music of northern Colombia. He also began to explore jazz concepts and the instrumental music of musicians such as Stan Getz, Coleman Hawkins, Don Byas, John Coltrane, Charlie Parker, Dexter Gordon, Sonny Rollins, Grover Washington Jr, Justo Almario, Paquito D'Rivera ,Michael Brecker, and Bob Mintzer. These masters gave Alvaro many avenues of research, exploration and inspiration. After begun a saxophone teacher he dedicated to perform his saxophones. Over the past two decades.

These South Americas musicians have traveled far and wide, sharing their brand of Cuban music at every stop. Being the most strong and dynamic Latin band on the scene of Shanghai, this group brings all the best rhythms from Latin America, performing with passion and happiness and giving a perfect match for the night. Drawing from their diverse cultural backgrounds, you will hear influences from their South American roots. Armed with a variety of instruments, their sound evokes feelings of excitement and beauty. When the Latin Project takes to the stage, don’t be surprised if their music moves you to dance!

包峻睿（Reny Bao） 活跃于中国音乐圈的青年萨克斯演奏家，本科毕业于上海音乐学院，师从章啸路教授。多次参加“上海中国爵士研讨会”，“JZ Festival爵士上海音乐节”等音乐演出。在中国爵士乐大赛中荣获“最佳演奏奖”、“最佳乐队奖”、“最佳创作奖”。研究生毕业于纽约Queens College Aaron Copland School of Music 爵士演奏专业，在校期间与Antonio Hart、Tim Armacost、David Berkman、Dennis Mackrel、Paul Bollenback等多位音乐家、艺术家、教授学习。

Reny Bao is a young saxophone player active in music circles in China. He graduated from Shanghai Conservatory Of Music and studied under professor Zhang Xiaolu. Participated in music performances such as "Shanghai China Jazz Symposium" and "JZ Festival" for many times. He won the "Best Performance Award", "Best Band Award" and "Best Creation Award" in the Chinese jazz competition. He graduated from Queens College Aaron Copland School of Music in New York and studied with many musicians, artists and professors, such as Antonio Hart, Tim Armacost, David Berkman, Dennis Mackrel, Paul Bollenback.

Al Gordon是宾夕法尼亚州匹兹堡出生的鼓手。 曾和Joe Harris, Babe Fabrizi和Roger Humphries一起学习，和 Gene Ludwig 和the Danny Fogel organ trios一起演奏。 

作为歌手和演员，弗兰克的职业生涯已满三十年，跨越三大洲。弗兰克总部设在上海，日内瓦和纽约，他目前是一名国际演艺人士。作为一个艺人他的经历相当丰富，在曼哈顿拥有最受欢迎的俱乐部，特别是Dizzy's Club Coca Cola,，Blue Note，Show以及纽约时装周，和纽约市最着名的乐队一起开始巡演。

Al Gordon – Drummer born in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.  Studied with Joe Harris, Babe Fabrizi. and Roger Humphries. Performed with both the Gene Ludwig and the Danny Fogel organ trios.

As a singer and actor Frank's career has now spanned three decades and three continents. Based in Shanghai, Geneva and New York, Frank is an international performer currently focusing his talent on Shanghai. His experience as an entertainer ranges from having performed in many of the hippest clubs in Manhattan, notably Dizzy's Club Coca Cola, the Blue Note, Show and at New York fashion week, to touring the East coast with some of New York City's most prominent Big Bands.
