One year after the death of Ennio Morricone, the great Italian composer known and loved by audiences around the world for his wonderful soundtracks of over 100 cinema classics, the Embassy of Italy and the Italian Institute of Culture in Beijing, in collaboration with the Forbidden City Concert Hall, have organized a commemorative concert with the participation of some among the most influential Chinese contemporary musicians of folk music, world music, rock, jazz, indi, etc.
The concert, conceived by the well-known radio host and DJ Youdai, will reinterpret, in the diversified styles of the Chinese artists, 20 pieces from some of the most famous soundtracks by Ennio Morricone.
A tribute to the beauty and unicity of the music of the great Maestro, to his universal language that unites different cultures and peoples and an inspiring invitation to the creative dialogue between artists and musical genres.
 
在埃尼奥·莫里康内，这位以100多部电影经典作品的精彩配乐而闻名世界各地并深受观众喜爱的意大利伟大作曲家去世一年后，意大利驻华大使馆、意大利驻华使馆文化中心和中山音乐堂合作举办一场由民间音乐、世界音乐、摇滚、爵士乐、印地音乐等中国当代最具影响力的音乐家参加的纪念音乐会。
这场由著名电台主持人和DJ有待设计的音乐会将以中国艺术家的多元化风格重新诠释20首Ennio Morricone最著名的配乐作品。
向伟大的大师的音乐之美和统一性致敬，向能够沟通、团结不同文化和民族的大师音乐语言致敬！同时，也是向艺术家和音乐流派之间创造性对话发出的鼓舞人心的邀请。

4月9日，众多古典、民族、摇滚、爵士音乐家将齐聚中山音乐堂，向我们共同热爱的莫里康内大师致敬！届时，钢琴、小提琴、大提琴、萨克斯、单簧管、古琴、扬琴、吉他、口弦琴、美声、打击乐等众多音乐家将倾情演绎《天堂电影院》、《美国往事》、《海上钢琴师》、《西西里的美丽传说》等电影中美妙感人而又熟悉的旋律，以最优美、浪漫的音乐纪念莫里康内大师。

On April 9, classical, folk, rock and jazz musicians will gather in the Forbidden City Concert Hall to celebrate the beloved composer Ennio Morricone and his music.

The wonderful, touching and familiar melodies of movies such as Cinema Paradiso, Once upon a time in America, 1900: The Pianist on the Ocean, Malena and many others will be performed on piano, violin, cello, saxophone, clarinet, guqin, dulcimer, guitar, harmonica and percussion and sung by interpreters of bel canto, in a feast of delightful and romantic notes dedicated to the renowned Maestro.

埃尼奥·莫里康内1928年11月10日出生于罗马。他长期的艺术生涯包括广泛的创作体裁，从绝对的音乐会音乐到应用音乐，在戏剧、广播和电影中担任编曲、指挥和作曲家。

在他漫长的职业生涯中，莫里康内获得了许多奖项。除了金狮奖和他在2003年获得的奥斯卡奖外，他还获得了八项银丝带奖、五项英国电影学院奖、五项奥斯卡提名、七项意大利电影金像奖（大卫·迪·多纳戴罗）奖、三项金球奖、一项格莱美奖和一项欧洲电影奖。2009年，时任法兰西共和国总统尼古拉斯·萨科齐为莫里康内颁发法国荣誉军团勋章。

Ennio Morricone was born in Rome on 10 November 1928. His long artistic career includes a wide range of composition genres, from absolute concert music to applied music, working as orchestrator, conductor and composer for theatre, radio and cinema.

During his long career, Ennio Morricone has received many awards. As well as the Golden Lion and the honorary Oscar he was awarded in 2003, he has been presented with eight Nastri D’argento, five BAFTAs, five Oscar nominations, seven David Di Donatellos, three Golden Globes, one Grammy Award and one European Film Award. In 2009, the then President of the French Republic, Nicolas Sarkozy, also signed a decree appointing Morricone to the rank of Knight in the Order of the Legion of Honor.
