With a entry in the James Bond film franchise — “Spectre” — heading to theaters on Oct. 26, series star Daniel Craig is already fielding the question of whether or not he’s ready to jump back into the role for another go. Sadly for fans, the answer at the moment is a definitive “no.”

007电影《幽灵党》上映在即（10月26日，英国），主演丹尼尔·克雷格（Daniel Craig）已经在考虑是否要再次踏上邦德的旅程。对粉丝而言不幸地是，目前的回答很明确——“不”。

Speaking to Time Out London about whether he can imagine doing another Bond movie, Craig replies, “Now? I’d rather break this glass and slash my wrists. No, not at the moment. Not at all. That’s fine. I’m over it at the moment. We’re done. All I want to do is move on.”

Those aren’t exactly words of encouragement when it comes to seeing him in the role again, but the actor admits it’s simply the furthest thing from his mind at this point.

“I haven’t given it any thought. For at least a year or two, I just don’t want to think about it. I don’t know what the next step is,” he explains. “I’ve no idea. Not because I’m trying to be cagey. Who the f*** knows? At the moment, we’ve done it. I’m not in discussion with anybody about anything.”

If he did sign on for another movie though, the actor knows it wouldn’t be for any sort of artistic reasons. “If I did another Bond movie, it would only be for the money,” he says.

As for whoever will play Bond after him, Craig doesn’t really have any preferences. “Look, I don’t give a f***. Good luck to them! All I care about is that if I stop doing these things we’ve left it in a good place and people pick it up and make it better,” he says. “Make it better, that’s all.”
