为什么要关注动物在这些情况的声音变化呢？这是因为说话和唱歌存在着很明显的区别。暂且抛开其它情况的声音变化不说，先说说人的说话和歌唱的差异。
人在说话的时候，声音基本是口腔音，而音调几乎没有太明显的变化。像中文这样有四声已经很不错了，有些语言还要少一些。而歌唱的调性变化就很明显，哆唻咪发索拉西就七声了，还能继续爬楼梯向上向下。而且还有很多小的修饰音的变化，还有很明显的强弱、情绪、停顿等。
所以，相对来说，语音识别好做些，但歌唱和音乐相关的就难得多了。
而要理解这种调性变化的来源，分析分析动物的各种叫声就很有意思。如果这是一种不同以往的视角，那说不定还能找到一些别样的线索。
说到视角，对于艺术来说，还是挺重要的。不同的视角往往能产生杰作或形成新的流派。比如印象派代表人物梵高，大家通常认为他是近视眼加偏光。所以，他画的很多杰作，似乎取下眼镜看的时候，近视眼们会觉得很爽，且更清楚。甚至在颜色的选取上也不同于常人。再比如艾舍尔，他常见的视角有从客厅餐桌向外看的，也有早期从山顶俯瞰的，还有带循环嵌套的。音乐智能很难研究，也许也需要不同于现在人工智能常见理论和技术的视角。
